That's what I achieved with Heart of Tamworth – a local charity providing essential services in the community

As a charity HoT rely heavily on donations from local businesses and volunteers to keep their services running. So, reaching the right people is essential. 

When I first started working with Heart of Tamworth last November, whilst they were using social media as fully as they could, they recognised they needed to bring in specialist advice and support in order to raise awareness of the valuable work they do 

The first thing I did was create a strategy that clearly outlined their target audiences, along with the content most likely to achieve our desired outcomes. Then following the strategy, we built monthly content plans with the HoT team feeding in information, event dates, and other important aspects of the charity to highlight through their social media channels. 

This began paying off straight away and within the first month we had a £1000 donation from a local business who had seen the social media posts. Since then, we’ve built on this success gaining over 600 new followers (99.6% of them being our ideal target audiences) and taking their average monthly reach from 4000 to over 27000 – all through organic content (no ads!) 

Other successes include a recent jam-packed family fun day with over 400 attendees and the following feedback from Jen Martin, Operations Manager

There has also been a marked increase in the amount of volunteering enquiries in reply to the social media posts.
